Revival Of Relationship

Take a walk with me this Sunday down the church aisle of Bethel. It has been absolutely glorious having the entire church family together.  Today, when Sis. Shalah Smith started to sing, I felt like my heart was going to burst. It's been over a year since we have heard her sing a solo. True to Shalah anointing she ushered the entire church straight to the throne room. There was an explosion of freedom of worship that swept through the entire congregation. I'm telling you, if you are a watching the services online, you are missing out on  what is taking place inside the sanctuary. Today was amazing. Bro. Walker then preached part one of a masterpiece sermon. It's a sermon that I think everyone should listen to. I am currently having difficulty adding the link, so hopefully, later this week I can share it with you. The main scriptures were from Mathew 22:37-38 and I Peter 5:14. From the beginning everything we read from the Old Testament to the New Testament is that it has been about relationship. God wants to have a relationship with you. God gives you free will. He will not force you to walk with Him. Yet, He loves you so very much and desires for you to know Him. A relationship with God is much more powerful than religion.  We see a marked difference between Daniel and Samuel in the Bible. Daniel talked with God throughout the day. He walked with God, He knew God. Thus, when we has in the lions den he was not afraid for he knew God was with him. Samson however, lived by experience alone. He kissed God on a Sunday and was with the wrong crowd during the week. He had to shake himself just to experience God. We need a revival of personal relationship with God. Bro. Walker talked about how if a personal revival happens, it will spread in home. The family has a revival in their walk with God as a family and this causes a spill over effect in the church. This strengthens the church body and spill out into wherever they go. This is how it all begins. Before it can go into the cities and towns, it must start first with you-one on one with God. Bro. Walker then talked about the difference between Believe and Cleave. We all as Christians believe in God. The question is do we cleave to God?  We believe in Him. But, to cleave to God it's unbreakable. You do not want a way of escape from God. No matter what happens, you love remains forever. Your devotion is secure. When Naomi's son's passed away, she went to return to where she was originally from. She told her daughter in laws to go back to their home and not follow with her. Yet, Ruth cleaved to Naomi. She choose to follow her God. Because she did this, God gave her a Kinsman redeemer. She remarried and all that should have been hers was restored unto her through Boaz. The beauty of this is that throuhg Ruth and Boaz is the linage that Jesus is from. What a blessing because she chose to cleave and not kiss her mother in law and then walk away.  This is the same for Judas and John the Beloved.  Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss for money. John was the only disciple at the foot of the cross.  Make the choice to cleave to God.  Have a revival in your relationship with Christ. Know Him on a daily bases, not just on a Sunday. Take a walk with me.
