Au-Dela

This Sunday marked the ending of Bethel's Revival. Since it was also Missions Sunday, it was fitting that the speaker for today was Bro. Dean Byfield, who is a missionary to France. It's aways a treat to hear Bro. Byfield preach, since he grew up at Bethel. Bro. Byfield is a dynamic preacher who preaches in the flow of the spirit. I appreciate how he listens and follows the voice of the Lord. Earlier in the service we were given a treat since his wife Laureen and son Caleb gave the missions report.  Sis. Byfield spoke in French and their son Caleb translated into English.  They are a beautiful family and I love it when they come for a visit. Bro. Byfield preached on "Au-Dela". It's a French word for Beyond. I of course am not able to type the word correctly as it is truly written in French. His main text was taken from II Kings 7:3-8 and Ephesians 3:20-21. You view/listen to the sermon here.. I will try to remember and add the link later to this blog. Today's sermon was a perfect tie into the many sermons we have had over the past few weeks. Last week, the stones in our hearts were removed and this week, we can now walk into the above and beyond that God has for our lives. In the text we read about Elijah and Elisha. Elijah had performed many miracles. Elisha had one request and that is he wanted a double portion of what Elijah had. He did receive this, but he had to be where the man of God was at all times. We read in II Kings that the people of God were in a walled city surrounded by the Syrians. Their tactic to starve them into a surrender. The king was upset and complaining and blamed it on the prophet. Instead of saying what the king wanted to hear, the prophet instead told him that he needed to listen to the voice of God and obey. The message of the Lord was that if they held on to God and waited, that by tomorrow God was going to turn everything around. They were going to go from starving to an abundance. The Lord's message was that he was going to change their situation tomorrow. In the Bible, tomorrow can be in a day. It can be in a few months or years. We know that it's a promise into our future. Right now, is your present. One second ago was your past. One second from now is your tomorrow. God can change your situation any time now. All you need to do is hold on, trust God and believe He will do it for you. God can change your situation in the blink of an eye. He will change your tomorrow. Au-Dela! He is still the Lord and He is able to do what he has said he will do. You must push past the doubts and place your trust in God. His word stands forever. You may not understand because you are operating in the natural, but He is able to do above and beyond what you can ask or think. You believe for and ask for something. God answers and gives you so much more than what you asked for. It's simple, surrender to the voice of the Lord and wait on Him. Do not limit God. He can do it so much better than you could have ever imagined. The Lord will cause it to come to pass, just as he did when they were in captivity. God caused four Leapers to get up and walk. When they did this, it led to an overnight turn of events and brought for the promised abundance. God is able. Stop trying to figure out how God is going to do it. Believe Him. Trust Him. Wait on Him. Praise Him in advance that God will not only answer, but He will give you above and beyond what you could ask or think. You do what you know to do and let God take care of the rest. Put your trust in God and watch what He will do. He can do above and beyond what you can ask or think. Au-Dela! God is good!
