She Walked With Grace-Tribute to Sis. Joy Haney

She was born in April and went on to her Heavenly reward on March 16th, 2023. How do you truly honor a lady like Sis Joy Haney? Devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife could be titles attributed to her, for they are all true. Much beloved across the world. Profound and wise speaker who authored many books. Singer and worshiper. Oh how, she made you feel special and loved. Her words of encouragement have shaped many lives and set destinies in motion. She was a pastor's wife and for a while superintendent's wife to the United Pentecostal Church International. These titles she wore well and poured herself into as many as she could. On a personal level she was my very first pastor's wife. The sounds I grew up with as a baby were in the prayer meetings she would have with the ladies. I was born into a faith saturated atmosphere. She loved on me. She prayed over me. Even when we no longer lived in the same state, when she saw me, she would squeeze my hand, give me a wink and a smile and then pull me into a tight embrace. She always remembered my name. That was a gift of hers, she remembered your name.  She loved with the love of Jesus. She walked in grace everywhere she went. Her foundation most of all was her steadfast faith and devotion to God. She breathed His Word. She lived His Word. Her faith moved mountains. She loved her God and her God loved her.  Her legacy lives on in the many lives she shaped. How can we ever fill her classy and anointed shoes? She was a rare gem that walked amongst us. We have lost a giant of a woman. We have lost a mighty warrior in the spirit. Oh, Daughters of Zion, I challenge you to rise up. Take up her mantle and continue to pave the way of faith. Walk in boldness. Speak in faith. Pray the prayers that shake heaven and hell. Rise up, for the same spirit of God that dwelled in this wonderful Woman of God, also dwells within you. The best way you can honor such a lady as she, is to stir up the holy spirit of God within you and walk forward with holy boldness. Thank you, Sis Joy Haney, for loving like you loved. Thank you for speaking truth without fear. Thank you for living such a faith filled life openly for all to see.  The light of Christ that shined through you, made the world a better place. God is good!
