To Not Be Troubled

Take a walk with me. If you allow it all the news swirling around can cause your mind and heart to become troubled. When these things come your way, you have a choice. You can let it consume you or you can shake yourself and know this from John 14:27  “‘ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.’”   Take a deep breath and do your best to find something positive to focus on around you. Comfort will come just when you need. A word to encourage you to keep going will be spoken just when you need it. Take a walk with me.

Chris With a Smile

Take a walk with me. One of the first features about Chris that stood out to me was his big smile. He loved his family a great deal. I remember admiring the deep connection he had with his sister Jennifer. He was always laughing about something and you knew from a mischievous grin that would come across his face he was up to something. Chris was always willing to lend a hand. I had no idea last Saturday when he taught me how to put oil in my car that it would be the last time I would see or speak to him. He was teasing me because I had no clue what was what under the hood of the car. True to Chris' good heart and nature, though he was quick to stop what he was doing and help me out. I will miss his smile and banter. I ask that you pray for his wife and sons that are trying to process the loss of someone they loved so very much, especially since they are still hurting over the loss of Natalie.  Everyone knew Chris, he touched a lot of lives and this loss will leave a hole in many h

At The Foot

Take a walk with me. There is a safe place to be. It's what you expect, but it's a safe place to be. Where is that you may ask? It is at the foot of the cross. How can it be a safe place? At the foot of the cross you are placing yourself where the healing blood flows. Yes, I know my Lord and Savior has risen. Yes, I know and believe He lives. Yet, at the foot of the cross you can cling. There you show that you are in need of Him.  I cling to this cross, for it is only Jesus who can truly be my healer, deliverer and provider. Jesus you are my all in all. For at the foot of the cross, all my questions, hurts and sorrows melt away and I can see freedom is there waiting for me. Take a walk with me.
