An Eternal Ethos

Take a walk with me to Bethel this beautiful Sunday morning.  I am thankful for my church family. One of my favorite singers sang today, Shalah Smith. If you knew her healing testimony you would understand why it meant so much to hear her sing, Anthony Brown's "Worth".  I love her dearly and it moved me to tears when she sang today. Pastor Davis was there with Sis Vicki Davis.  She sits in the back corner in her wheel chair with her one arm in the cast, still worshiping the best she can. Please continue to pray for this precious family. I have to say I always enjoy when Bro. Jonathan Walker preaches. Today's sermon, was one  I think everyone should watch/listen to it. You can do so  here.  Truly, when you do, have an open heart. I took notes and to be totally honest with you, there is no way I can do it justice. I will do my best to give you an overview. The sermon title was, "An Eternal Ethos", the  main text from Collisions 3:1-4. It resonated with what I

But We See Jesus

Take a Sunday walk with me into Bethel. It's Missions Sunday and we have guest ministers. The Mark Harris Family is with us, they are missionaries to Asia.  Today, felt like a Bethel Sunday.  The worship was free and there was liberty. I actually forgot my notebook, so I did not take notes. Bro. Harris is pretty funny. He preached on, " But We See Jesus". You can watch/listen to his sermon  here. It's clear they have a love and burden for the people of Asia. I appreciate our  missionaries who are willing to move over seas and dedicate their lives to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are hungry to learn about Him. I kept thinking as he preached that I would love to see more people called to NY to share the love of Christ. The whole world is here. He was preaching about what you keep your focus on.  How what we really need to see is Jesus. We need to be sharing the love of Jesus everywhere we go.  Drop our political differences and let's put our eyes

The New Norm

Take a walk with me into my beloved Bethel. It's Sunday and with a joyful heart RJ and I prepare to attend church. I'm thankful that for now, we are still free to go to church and worship the Lord together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. This past weekend was our NY Metro District Conference. I plan to blog about that later this week. It was special for me because on of my heroes was here with her husband to minister, Sis Jessica Marquez. She's a fiery preacher and prayer warrior. For today, Bethel had evangelist Tim Greene come and preach. I did my best to take notes, but I have to be honest, by the time he got up to preach my soul was soaring from the move of God's spirit that had taken place during the worship. Also, he preaches with an anointing that at times is hard to take notes for. You can watch/listen to it  here.   Bro. Green preached on "The New Norm" and his main text was taken from Joel 2: 23-29. He gave several examples of instances over
