When I See The Blood

What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.  Today, Bro. Jonathan Walker preached on, "When I See The Blood". His main text was taken from Exodus 12:12-14 and Romans 5:8-9.  I like it when Bro. Walker preaches because he more often than not uses a prop and being the Bible Quizzer extraordinare that he is, uses scriptures from the Old Testament and the New Testament.  I will do my best to share with you my notes. I strongly recommend that you watch/view it here. During Bro. Walker's sermon, he gave reference to Bro. Loammi Diaz's sermon from last week and encouraged everyone to listen to it again.  The link to watch that is here.  Bro. Walker preached today about the blood of Jesus. His focus was on when Moses instructed the people to take Hyssop and dip it into a bowl that had blood from a spotless lamb in it. They were to use the hyssop to place the blood over their doorpost. In doing so the firstborns who were in the house would not die. As Bro. Walker preached he had a live Hyssop plant on the pulpit and placed leaves from the plant and had them in a bowl. It was a great visual to bring his sermon to life.  We are redeemed by the blood of the lamb. Jesus shed his blood for us on calvary. His blood washes us white as snow.  When you speak the name of Jesus, his blood is attached to the name. When you pray the blood of Jesus over your family you are invoking the power of calvary and the power of the empty tomb into your situation. When you plead the blood, healing becomes activated in peoples lives. Deliverance from anything becomes activated in your life. The blood also provides protection. The name of Jesus is a banner and when you plead the blood you are pleading his protection over yours and your families life. Bro. Walker invited families to come up and pray together.  If you are a follower of Christ, I encourage you to walk through your home speaking the name of Jesus and pleading the blood over your families. In our present day and age, that might be frowned upon. However, I truly believe the same power that was applied to what we read in the Bible is still true today. Pray over your children every day. Pray over your day. If you are not a believer and this is a strange concept for you. I encourage you to find a church that believes in the Acts 2:38 message. Go where they baptize in the saving name of Jesus. There is power in that name. God is good.
